ShareBraille.org is a free service of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). The NFB, the nation's oldest and largest consumer organization of blind people, believes the use of Braille is critical to the success of blind people. In school, work, and leisure Braille is the only true means of literacy for the blind. Critical information, such as syntax, spelling, and structure, is lost to the blind person when using recorded books or computer driven speech. The NFB is the recognized leader in Braille literacy efforts and ShareBraille.org is the newest program in our effort to change the dramatically low Braille literacy rate in America.
ShareBraille.org exists to provide an outlet for blind people and organizations to offer surplus Braille books to others who may enjoy them. We do not charge a fee for this service. Any materials requesting compensation will be removed from the site listings.
You may ship books within the United States using Free Matter for the Blind.
